Weekend Trip to Chattanooga, TN
Hello, friends! It's been a while since I've shared any of our travel experiences, so I'm taking a step back in time with the next few blog posts to catch up on sharing our journeys over the past few years. Let's start in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
If you follow my personal Instagram or TikTok, you might have seen that we've added a new addition to our home within the past year - Miss Molly. We picked up Molly, our Golden Retriever, in Chattanooga last April. Bradley and I decided to turn it into a small weekend trip.
We arrived on Friday afternoon and stayed at The Dwell Hotel, a boutique-style hotel that was absolutely charming! The attention to detail was immaculate. Check out the photos and the video below of the walkthrough of the hotel and our room.
Before dinner, we tried out No Hard Feelings Bar for cocktails. It was a funky neighborhood cocktail bar with loads of personality. From the retro booth setup and disco ball hanging from the ceiling to the low-lit back bar that was the focal point, the atmosphere was fantastic.
For drinks, (left to right) we had the Dovetail, a tequila-based cocktail, and the Pistachio Mai Tai.
Moving on to dinner, we dined at Alleia Restaurant. We made reservations in advance, just in case. The ambiance of this place was magical! The fireplace in the main dining area, with candles lit on the mantle and wax dripping down, really set the mood for an Italian dinner.
For cocktails, I had the Power of Love, and Bradley had the Tennessee Mountain Road, a riff on an old-fashioned.
For appetizers, we ordered their ricotta bruschetta drizzled with truffle honey and served with bread, and their Brussels sprouts, which were served with prosciutto and chestnuts. Absolutely delicious.
Our main dish was the Pappardelle, made with braised veal. The pasta was fresh and delightful.
Of course, we couldn't leave without trying their Tiramisu. It was served in a little ramekin, which was just the right amount for us to share. Tiramisu after dinner is always a must for us!
After dinner, we made our way back to the hotel and had drinks at the cocktail bar downstairs. The cocktail menu was astrology-themed, which I thought was a unique touch! The design of the menus and the aesthetic of the bar were really nice. I highly recommend staying at The Dwell and visiting Alleia and No Hard Feelings.
